There are many subjects that I want to learn. Over my career, I continue to study and apply what I’ve learned. Some things are easier to learn than others. There is one trend that I have observed every time I apply myself—invested in learning something new:

With the release of Drupal 8 knocking on the door, many organizations and individuals are considering it for their project. A current estimate suggests a release candidate sometime in late September (subject to change). The question is:

Should we use Drupal 8 for our project?

Software development—whether with a team or as an individual—benefits from predictable workflows. Many developers have inherited a mess of code, poorly managed files, or things that are difficult to maintain. We don't want to contribute to that mess, so we need a plan. This development and deployment strategy comes from an evolution of work with dozens of talented developers that I've had the privilege to work with.
